I’m Carla Khoo, founder of My C3 Careers.

Right here though, I want to share a little bit about me with you.

On the work front, I am a proven transformation, change and project delivery professional, with 20+ years’ experience across the finance, insurance and hospitality industries. I like to describe myself as a ‘T shaped person‘, with skills across customer experience design, business and technology/digital project delivery, strategic planning and execution, organisational communications, collaboration, facilitation, engagement, management and of course, mentoring and coaching.

I love learning new things, and this is especially true when I have the opportunity to learn directly from others. Through my life I’ve had some simply amazing mentors and coaches, starting off with my Mum and Dad through to now, where I have my own professional coaches helping me stretch boundaries and pursue goals.

I hold a deep sense of gratitude towards everyone who challenged my thinking, teach me a new skill, or helped me stay on track with my own personal development. So whilst I proudly attribute all I am to the hard work and effort that I’ve put in, I certainly did it with a little help from my friends* (*that includes family, friends, mentors, coaches, colleagues, managers and more!). And I love them all – even the ones who I rather hated at the time. (On that note, keep an eye out for my future blog post on ‘Gratitude’, it really is a mindset game changer!).

Driven by my love of learning and connecting with people, I’ve now been coaching and mentoring for over 10 years. Coaching is such a ‘bucket filler’ for me. I really enjoy helping people navigate the connection between their career and their life, helping them uncover their goals and develop plans to make it all happen.

In 2020, with all time provided via the isolation of COVID (the great Melbourne Lockdown of 2020!!) I got to thinking. If I love this so much, why don’t I get serious about it? So I’ve now packaged up all my experience and tools into my very own company, My C3 Careers.
